Credit Monitoring
Home » Credit Monitoring
For many people, the information that their credit history is bad is really news. They do not remember any instances when they have defaulted on any debt payments. Then also the presence of credit failures is shocking to them.
If you do not want a similar shock, then it will be better to opt for credit monitoring.
Credit monitoring keeps a constant vigil on the credit report, giving the person reports of all changes that take place in the credit report daily or weekly.
Identity theft is quite common in the US. One may not know but his credit card may be operated by some other person. Such identity thefts take around 12 months to come into notice. If one waits for so long to be informed of ones credit history then the situation will become worse. Instead if the individual has tied up with us for credit monitoring, he can immediately detect identity thefts. Therefore, with credit monitoring, the user can not prevent identity thefts but become aware of his credit being misused much earlier.
Credit monitoring can further be divided into three bureau monitoring and single bureau monitoring. Three bureau monitoring involves credit monitoring through all three credit reference agencies, namely Experian, Equifax and Transunion. Single bureau credit monitoring will involve credit monitoring by only one credit reference agency. Though the former credit monitoring is a bit expensive, it frees you from all your credit worries.
